The Milan International Furniture Exhibition, also known as the Salone, has become the largest and most important event of its kind in the world. Over the past years it has shown consistent growth, both in the quantity of exhibitors and in the number of visitors.
300’000 visitors and 2’500 exhibitors are expected from 160 countries this year.
The Salone always bristles with the passion, vitality and energy of the producers, designers, visitors, buyers and sellers involved in this unequalled event. Excitement also resonates throughout the entire city of Milan, with its colossal number of concurrent offsite receptions, shows, presentations and displays.
The Salone is located at the Milan Fair Grounds in Rho, near Milan.
Beyond the Salone itself, several collateral exhibits will take place. One is the International Lighting Exhibition, Euroluce, hosting roughly 420 exhibitors over a total area of 19’000 sqm, another is the Furnishing Accessories Exhibiton, attracting about 120 exhibitors.
The Salone Satellite, the event that presents young designer talents under 35 years of age, will take place again this year. Around 500 young exhibitors, who will present about as many projects, are expected.
The 2019 Salone will doubtless attract numerous buyers, developers, contractors, property and project managers, architects and interior designers from around the world. For all of them the Salone is an event of prime importance.
Open hours for all exhibitions will be from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, from the 9th until the 14th April 2019. The Salone is open for professionals from the 9th April until and including the 14th April 2019. Public days are Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April.
